Our history
The history of GC Graphic Consult began on April 1, 1969. Founded by Werner Stöger, known as the “Swiss Sword,” it was one of the first specialized consulting firms for the printing industry in Europe. The guiding principle behind its founding was “Success through sharing in the success of others.” The goal was to support companies in the “graphic arts industry” by providing sound advice on strategic and organizational challenges.
From the very beginning, we were an implementation consultancy that not only identifies changes but also brings them to life—a philosophy we uphold to this day. Initially, we focused primarily on organizational issues. Over the years, however, we have evolved into a management consultancy with a holistic approach to the printing and packaging industry.
The brothers Peter and Wolfgang Jeschke played a pivotal role in the company’s history; they took over the company in the late 1990s and led it together until 2025. Under their leadership, GC continuously expanded its consulting services and established recognized industry events such as the GC Leadership Symposium and the GC Management Award, which honors leading companies and entrepreneurs in our industry for outstanding management performance.
In 2025, GC began a new chapter with Oliver Cynamon joining the management team and Koenig & Bauer acquiring a majority stake. But one thing remains sacrosanct: GC operates independently and continues to provide 100% neutral and independent consulting. These qualities are guaranteed, sacrosanct, and enshrined in a neutrally certified code of conduct. Our clients have our word of honor on this.
Experience that binds us – independence that we preserve
