Profile

After studying business administration at Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Oliver began his professional career as an independent consultant before joining GC in 1999. After seven years as a management consultant and partner at GC, he switched sides and spent approximately 10 years managing a web offset printing company and a media company.

His path then led him into additive manufacturing (3D printing), where he held leadership roles at start-up companies, a globally leading 3D printing service provider, and a manufacturer of electron beam systems. In early 2025, Oliver returned to our industry and took over the management of GC. Oliver is our expert on M&A.

Rainer Greive

Profile

After studying mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Rainer began his professional career at VG Nicolaus GmbH, where he initially worked as a project manager in the development of packaging systems for clients and designed the folding cartons to be processed on these systems. He then took on the role of plant engineer, overseeing maintenance and repairs, occupational safety, and technical projects, eventually becoming production manager with responsibility for all production and technical operations. He subsequently took on the position of plant manager at Kieser Packaging Solutions GmbH. Rainer has been working as a consultant and interim manager at GC since 2006 and is our expert on packaging.

Profile

After completing his studies in Berlin and Stuttgart and earning a degree in printing technology (Dipl. Ing. (FH)), Thomas began his professional career at a renowned printing and publishing house in Stuttgart. In the years that followed, he gained experience in various management roles in prepress, sheetfed and web offset printing, as well as digital printing.

During this time, he also implemented successful IT projects. Thomas has been working as a consultant and interim manager at GC since 2007 and is our expert on commercial printing and ERP systems.

After studying medicine at the University of Cologne and completing training in marketing, Renate began her professional career in the field sales team for a media agency that offered and produced advertising for print and TV. After holding additional sales positions at BMW and serving as a sales manager in advertising technology—combining digital and offset printing—she has held leadership roles at a recruitment consultancy in Düsseldorf since 2002. At the end of 2012, her career path led her to Bavaria. Renate has led recruitment and consulting at GC since 2013 and is our expert in the field of Recruiting & Executive Search.

Profile

Peter began his professional career with two degrees: in Paper and Plastics Engineering and in Industrial Engineering. After an extended stay abroad and freelance work at Roland Berger, he took over responsibility for a site within an international label group. Peter then moved into consulting and served as a managing partner at GC for more than 33 years. During this time, his consulting focus was on change projects as well as strategy, organizational, and human resources development processes. Peter has been a freelance consultant since 2025 and works for GC in the “Organization” practice area.

Andreas’s professional career has taken him from technical vocational training and part-time studies through leadership roles to executive management positions at printing and media companies. As a plant manager and technical director, Andreas oversaw complex transformation and integration processes at both the national and international levels. These experiences have shaped his clear perspective on organizations, leadership, and people facing the pressures of change. Since 2015, Andreas has been working as an independent interim manager, trainer, and coach.

After studying Industrial Engineering with a focus on Printing at the Stuttgart Media University, Ralf began his professional career in senior business management roles at publishing and printing companies. After several years in leadership positions, including at Gruner+Jahr and the Donaukurier, he transitioned to consulting in the early 2000s and worked for many years as a partner of GC and interim manager for well-known companies in the printing and media industry. He subsequently assumed entrepreneurial responsibility as a managing partner and successfully guided several production facilities through strategic realignments and transformation processes.

A particular focus was on the digitalization of traditional business models. Most recently, as managing partner, he was responsible for the further development and ultimately the successful sale of an internationally active online printing company to a corporate group.
